You accepted the assignment. Now you need a place that actually works for a nurse on a 13-week contract not a hotel that drains your stipend, and not an Airbnb that gets yanked the week before you arrive.
Feel Good Stays provides furnished homes for travel nurses in three markets Gainesville, Georgia, Greenville, South Carolina, and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Every property is a real home. Full kitchen, real beds, fast internet, washer and dryer inside the unit. Month-to-month leases that flex with your contract length. One point of contact who answers when you call.
Most rental listings are written for vacationers. You are not a vacationer. You are working 12-hour shifts, rotating through nights and weekends, and you need a home that functions like one.
Here is what every Feel Good Stays property includes for travel nurses:
Not a microwave and a mini fridge. A real stove, refrigerator, cookware, and dishes. Meal prepping on your days off saves hundreds of dollars over a 13-week assignment.
scrubs need washing at odd hours. A shared laundry room three floors down does not work for that.
Documented speed, not “available.” You need reliable connectivity for telehealth documentation, charting apps, and staying in contact with your agency
Assignment start dates shift. We work around your confirmed dates, not a fixed calendar.
8 weeks, 13 weeks, extended contracts. We structure the lease around your assignment, not the other way around.
one predictable number every month. No surprise electric bills in a Georgia summer or an Alabama winter.
Your agency pays you a bladed rate — a taxable hourly wage plus non-taxable stipends for housing and meals. The housing stipend exists specifically to cover furnished, short-term accommodations.
The IRS requires that you maintain a tax home elsewhere to claim housing stipends as non-taxable income. That is between you, your agency, and your tax professional. What we can tell you is that our lease agreements, utility-included pricing, and furnished home documentation are structured to support the paperwork your accountant needs.
We provide a signed lease agreement, move-in documentation, and consistent monthly statements. No gray area on what you paid or what was included.
Housing stipend rates vary by market and are set by your agency based on GSA per diem tables for each county. Gainesville, Greenville, and Gulf Shores each have different prevailing rates. In most cases, our pricing is structured to fall within or close to the applicable stipend ceiling — so you are not regularly paying out of pocket to have a real home instead of a hotel room.
The math is one reason. Nightly hotel rates, even at extended-stay properties, frequently exceed the housing stipend ceiling for a 91-day contract. A furnished home at a monthly rate almost always pencils out better.
After a 12-hour shift, coming back to a real home — couch, kitchen, a bed that is yours for the length of your contract is a different experience than a corridor hotel room with a plastic desk and a vending machine two floors down. Nurses who have done both are not usually interested in going back to the hotel option.
There is also the matter of privacy and stability. Hotel guests turn over constantly. Your neighbors change every few days. The room next door has different people every weekend. A furnished home is yours. The address is yours. The front door is yours.

We do not require agency involvement. You can book directly with us. If your agency has a housing department that wants to contact us on your behalf, that works too. Either way, the lease is with you and the keys are yours on move-in day.
We work with 8-week, 10-week, and 13-week standard contract lengths. If your contract gets extended, we extend the lease. If it ends early, we talk through the situation. We are not a corporation running a 200-unit building — we are a small operation and we handle things like actual humans.
Yes. Every Feel Good Stays property comes fully furnished. Beds with linens, sofa, dining table, kitchen equipment, basic pantry staples on arrival. You bring your personal belongings. Nothing else is required.
We provide a signed lease agreement, move-in confirmation, and monthly statements. If your tax professional or agency needs additional documentation, let us know what format they require.
As soon as your assignment is confirmed. Furnished homes in hospital corridors move quickly, especially for Q1 and Q3 start dates. A 2 to 3 week lead time is reasonable in most cases. Less than a week is possible but depends entirely on availability.
Talk to us immediately. We work with travel nurses specifically because we understand that assignments shift. We cannot always absorb last-minute cancellations without cost, but we handle these situations on a case-by-case basis rather than through a rigid cancellation policy enforced by a chatbot.
You have enough logistics to manage when you take a travel assignment. Housing should not be one of the hard parts.
Feel Good Stays properties are move-in ready. The lease is flexible. The address is stable. The home is functional.
